Just dumping some images here:) I keep my Instagram private, but figured I should update this site with projects I have done over the last year or so- this post is a sampling of some of them. Above is a tassel garland I made for the girls' room. I've made quite a few since this one because they are so easy and colorful and I have lots of yarn, but don't really knit. I followed a tassel tutorial from Pinterest, the yarn makes them extra big, then strung them all up with a piece of sturdy yarn and a plastic tapestry needle, knotting between each.
Our kids wait each morning for the bus by this door before going out into the world. This morning ritual felt spiritual and in need of elevation. I found a few tutorials for gold leafing, then purchased the leaf, adhesive and sealant from amazon. I am lucky enough to have a Silhouette machine, but have hardly touched it- this was a good project to try with it. I was inspired by the image below:
Peace begins at home. Obviously it is not always peaceful, but it's so beautiful when it is.
A birthday girl wearing a home made skirt with suspenders made from my own pattern.
Back in the fall, we collected sticks and made huge God's Eye spider webs with yarn.
For her first birthday, a geranium top (pattern by Made by Rae).
And a dress from the same pattern.
Another birthday, another doll.
It feels like it was just Christmas. I made our angel, just hoping it survives from year to year- lots of crepe and left over millinery things. I was inspired by vintage cotton spun ornaments.
I am always itching to make something. So many ideas, so little time. So glad Spring is here!!
