We had a fun little day today. We went to the Buffalo Botanical Gardens.
Beautiful colors and textures... very inspiring. (This reminds me of fruit roll-ups.)
My favorite thing of all was their collection of tiny fig trees. Most of them were only about two feet tall.
I have made a lot of things since last post, but I haven't photographed them all yet so I'll post some now some later. I have been trying to make most of the gifts I give. I love using handmade wrapping paper.
I haven't had the guts to sew a piece of clothing yet, but I have been making some hand pieced accessories. My best bud Julia bought a beautiful old home and found some stacks of silk scarves (all old, old, old and beautiful) so she let me experiment with them. I have made some fabric necklaces and I am working on some pillows for my daughter's crib.
I've also been making some head bands.
I know this clearly doesn't fit her, but I don't have any other models around here.
I almost forgot to include this photo. I love globe lights like this. They remind me of Henri Rousseau.
