I've been on the lookout for old baby sweaters at thrift stores. I am trying to be picky. I really liked this one.
I have added some little stitches to some of my pins and I have put up some new things on etsy. I am really trying to work on my photography as well because it makes or breaks for sure.
I have been finding a lot of inspiring things lately. I saw Coraline a few weeks ago. I love everything miniature and these shoes are so so great. The Russian acrobat wore them.
I also am loving a book by Lena CorwinPrinting by Hand. I have cheapened one of the processes by using foam core instead of the clear, I guess they'd be acryllic, plates that are used in the book, so I can do the project with my students. If all goes well I will post some results in the coming weeks. Her blog is pretty inspiring too, so check it out if you get the chance. I love this tote bag of hers.
In the book, she suggests having your own stamp made, which I actually have done before. I had a little star stamp made last year for my wedding invitations. I hand stamped and cut all the lining to the envelopes as well as the scallop edged reception cards. It took forever. I also added a little watercolor to each piece of the invitation. Part of the reason this was so exhausting was that I really didn't know what I was doing.
